1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the ATARS application or website ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

ATARS is a desktop data-analysis application (currently for Windows) that helps you understand, clean, visualise, model, forecast and report on structured datasets — running locally on your own computer. Installation is also governed by the End-User License Agreement (EULA) shown by the installer. Features may change, improve or be removed as the product develops.

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and responsibly. You will not:

• analyse data you do not have the right to use, or that infringes others' rights;
• use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or tamper with the application's compiled code, or attempt to disrupt or compromise this website, except where such a restriction is prohibited by law;
• redistribute, resell or re-host the installer or application without written permission;
• misrepresent ATARS output as guaranteed, certified or professionally validated advice.

4. Your data and responsibility

You are responsible for the data you analyse and for how you use the results. You retain ownership of your data — it is processed on your own computer and never uploaded to us. You are responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights and consents for any data, especially personal or sensitive data, processed through the Service.

5. AI providers

If you connect a third-party AI provider, your use of that provider is governed by its own terms and pricing. ATARS is not responsible for third-party services you choose to enable.

6. Intellectual property

The ATARS name, logo, design and software are the property of the developer. These terms do not grant you ownership of the Service. Open-source libraries used by ATARS remain under their respective licenses.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability. See the Disclaimer for more.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or any loss arising from decisions made using ATARS output.

9. Pricing & plans

ATARS is currently free to download, with every feature included. Paid products may be introduced in the future; any charges will be disclosed clearly before you incur them.

10. Termination

We may stop distributing or updating the application, in whole or in part, at any time. Copies you have installed remain governed by the EULA. You may stop using the Service and uninstall at any time.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
